The Shipping Route

What Happens After Checkout

Every order moves through a simple sequence. Timing may vary by item, destination, carrier conditions, and order volume, but the core process remains consistent.

01

Order Confirmed

Your order enters our system after successful checkout and payment authorization.

02

Prepared for Dispatch

Items are reviewed, prepared, and assigned to an available fulfillment route.

03

Carrier Handoff

Once the parcel is accepted by the carrier, tracking activity can begin to appear.

04

Final Delivery

The carrier completes delivery using the address and delivery details supplied at checkout.

01 Processing

Order Processing & Dispatch

Most Ridevia orders enter processing within 1–3 business days after payment authorization. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time and may be extended during high-volume periods, promotional events, payment review, inventory verification, or major holidays.

Business Days

Processing generally takes place Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays.

Shipping Options

Available delivery services and applicable shipping charges are presented during checkout whenever the destination and order are eligible.

Carrier Selection

Carrier assignment may vary by destination, parcel size, inventory location, and available delivery service.

Dispatch Timing

A shipment is considered dispatched after it has been transferred to the carrier. Carrier scans may take additional time to appear after the label is created.

Live Journey

Delivery Estimates & Tracking

Delivery estimates begin after carrier acceptance, not when the order is placed. Estimated arrival windows are not guarantees and can change as the carrier moves the parcel through its network.

Tracking Activation

Tracking may remain in a pre-shipment state until the carrier performs its first physical scan.

Estimated Arrival

The most current delivery estimate is generally the one displayed by the assigned carrier.

Scan Gaps

A parcel can continue moving even when tracking has not updated for a short period.

Final-Mile Delivery

Local carrier operations, weather, access conditions, and delivery volume can affect the last stage.

Allow time for the first carrier scan before treating a newly issued tracking number as inactive.

Shipping Address Accuracy

Please review your shipping information carefully before submitting an order. Apartment numbers, unit numbers, building access details, ZIP codes, and recipient names should be entered completely and accurately.

Address Changes

If an order has not yet been dispatched, we may be able to request an address correction. Changes cannot be guaranteed once processing or carrier handoff has advanced.

Carrier Restrictions

Once a shipment is in transit, address changes, delivery holds, redirects, and access instructions may be controlled by the carrier.

Undeliverable Parcels

Orders returned because of an incomplete, incorrect, refused, or inaccessible address may require additional handling before a replacement shipment or other resolution is available.

Check before you confirm.

An accurate delivery address is the simplest way to reduce avoidable delays, return-to-sender events, and carrier exceptions.

Split Shipments

Orders containing multiple products may occasionally be dispatched in separate parcels. This can happen when items are prepared from different inventory locations or require different carrier services.

Separate parcels may receive different tracking numbers and may arrive on different days. A partial delivery does not necessarily mean that the remaining items have been omitted.

Delays, Damage & Delivery Issues

Most shipments move normally, but carrier networks are dynamic. The guidance below explains what to do when delivery does not follow the expected route.

Carrier Delays

Weather, Peak Volume & Network Disruptions

Delivery estimates can be affected by severe weather, regional service interruptions, holiday volume, transportation delays, local emergencies, or carrier capacity.

When tracking remains active, the carrier's latest scan and delivery estimate should generally be treated as the most current status.

Marked Delivered

Package Not Immediately Located

If tracking shows delivered but the parcel is not visible, first check common delivery locations, building reception areas, household members, neighbors, parcel lockers, and any carrier delivery notes.

Some carriers may record a delivery scan shortly before the parcel is physically accessible. Allowing a short period for final placement or local carrier updates can resolve many cases.

Damaged Shipment

Keep the Packaging & Document the Condition

If an order arrives with visible shipping damage, retain the product, shipping carton, internal packaging, and shipping label while the issue is being reviewed.

  • Photograph the outer shipping package.
  • Photograph the shipping label and visible damage.
  • Photograph the item and any damaged components.
  • Keep all packaging until the resolution process is complete.
Lost in Transit

Extended Tracking Inactivity

If tracking stops updating for an unusually long period or the carrier identifies the shipment as lost, Ridevia can review the available shipment information and determine the appropriate next step.

Carrier investigations can require additional time, particularly when a parcel has already entered the final-mile delivery network.

Quick Answers

Shipping FAQ

Practical answers to common questions about processing, carriers, tracking, and delivery.

When does delivery time begin?

Carrier transit time begins after the parcel has been accepted by the carrier. Order processing time occurs before carrier transit and should be considered separately.

Why does my tracking number show no movement?

A tracking number can be created before the first physical carrier scan. During that period, a tracking page may show a label-created or pre-shipment status even though dispatch preparation is underway.

Can products from one order arrive separately?

Yes. Multi-item orders can be divided into separate shipments when items are prepared from different locations or require different carrier routes. Each parcel may have its own tracking information.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?

An address correction may be possible before dispatch, but it cannot be guaranteed. Once the carrier has accepted the parcel, delivery changes may be restricted or managed directly through the carrier.

What if my package is returned to sender?

Returned parcels must first be received and reviewed. The available resolution can depend on the carrier's return reason, shipment condition, delivery address, and order circumstances.

Do delivery estimates include weekends and holidays?

Processing is generally measured in business days. Carrier transit schedules vary by service and location, and weekends or holidays may affect both tracking activity and estimated arrival dates.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

Keep all packaging and document the shipping carton, label, product, and visible damage with clear photographs. This information helps support an efficient review of the delivery issue.

Are all destinations eligible for every shipping method?

No. Available services can vary by destination, parcel dimensions, carrier coverage, and product characteristics. Eligible shipping methods are presented during checkout when applicable.
